Arverne by the Sea Testimonials

  • Glenn DiResto
I am a life long Rockaway resident and decided to buy a home at Arverne by the Sea, because I wanted to live as close to the beach as possible. There is nothing like taking an early morning walk on the boardwalk. It is so invigorating; the beach, the sun, the sand and fresh air, what else do you need??? It nourishes your spirit. Our beach is a recreational destination for bike riding, surfing, family walks, jogging, rollerblading, fishing, paddle ball and so many other activities. I have already made so many friends at Arverne by the Sea. The sense of community is amazing!!! The homes are beautifully designed and with the rental unit make it very affordable to live. It is like living in the suburbs without the long commute and high property taxes.

I love the fresh air each time I step out of the house. The tranquility of the neighborhoods, people saying good morning as we pass by in the streets and on the boardwalk, never expected this in NYC. Most of all I love the prospect of what the future has instore for this community and the Rockaways in general. It feels good to be at the right place at the right time. I think the ABTS developer is doing a great job.

  • Janet & Derek Lindell
    Palmers Landing

Change was on the horizon for Janet and Derek Lindell. With their son newly engaged and their two daughters college bound, they realized that their house in Sea Cliff was too large and the upkeep too expensive for just the two of them. The Lindells visited Arverne by the Sea. After looking at the models, their excitement grew, and as they put down a deposit on a two-family house in the Palmers Landing neighborhood, their direction for the future began to take shape.

When Janet and Derek moved into their new home in June, Derek was initially worried that he'd miss the space of their house. As Janet explained, "We still had so much space, with an enormous master bedroom, a terrace, a yard and a garage. And on top of all that, we're now a block and a half from the beach!"

For the Lindells, moving to Arverne by the Sea turned into a family affair, with Derek's brother also purchasing at Arverne, right down the block. Their nephew just put down a deposit on a home in The Breakers. And while Derek and Janet live on the first two floors of their two-family home, their son Kyle and his fiancé live upstairs in their own apartment.

Living here at Arverne by the Sea is like living in a resort all year round. My fiancé and I brought a house at Arverne by the Sea because we love the beach and family atmosphere here. Nothing is better than our summer parties with neighbors and friends.

What I appreciate most about living at Arverne by the Sea is being part of a New City with a cultural mix of quality people...Not just a city...but a city by the sea. Where the sun is never blocked by buildings, fresh air rolls in from the ocean, and the eclectic mix of the city and the beach. Living here with children this is truly an oasis, with playgrounds on the beach, sand parks, boardwalks, and miles of shore line to walk with my family. As for my enjoyment, I gram my IPod, fishing rod, and walk a block to the beach where I escape the grind by surf casting in the Atlantic.I could go on forever but I would highly recommend everyone to experience the magic of ARVERNE BY THE SEA.

As my first property, living at Arverne by the Sea was the best investment purchase I have ever made. The view is absolutely breathtaking, we love watching the birds, the ocean view, and the waves. It is like living on a beach resort in the Caribbean, yet with easy access to the New York City lifestyle.

Here are Arverne by the Sea, I can expect the sunrise in the morning and when the sun sets in the evening, I fell like I’m always on vacation. The neighborhood is friendly suburban living. There is so much to do here, surfing, volleyball, bike-riding, basketball parks, just to name a few.

As I look out onto the ocean I feel at peace, no worries, and no fear. The sea breeze, the sunset gives me peace of mind. It reminds me of being home in the Caribbean. There is no need to leave here!

I love many things about Arverne..here are just a few:

I love the fact that I feel like I’m in the suburbs, but am reminded that I’m city fold every time I see the subway – I think it’s a cool reminder that I’m still in NYC, just on the beach...

I think my neighbors are great, couldn’t ask to be surrounded by a better bunch of people...

    Love the diversity...

But the best thing I love about living here in Arverne is being able to take my one year old daughter to the beach every evening when I get home from work for our walk...it’s the highlight of my day, and she goes nuts, loves the beach, loves the sand, loves the boardwalk, summer or winter, it is still awesome!!!

Smell the salt air. Hear the roar of the ocean and the crash of the waves. Walk through the foam on the beach, crushing shells underfoot. Watch the birds in the air and the surfers catch the waves. Wake up early and walk the boards. That’s only part of the allure of Rockaway. However, there’s much more. There’s a national park, an incredible arts community with galleries and live music events, a community theatre with year round performances in a restored army theatre, little league, beach walks, beach volleyball, children’s parks on the beach and much more. I have lived here for 38 years and have long waited for the vast beachfront to be developed with a positive design. Arverne by the Sea has done that. The result is a multicultural community of friendly, active and involved people and I love living here.

As one of the original "Lottery" winners of Arverne by the Sea. We had a wonderful vision! Beach front community in NYC? That was an easy decision to make. Waking up smelling the sea air and hearing the seagulls just made it very relaxing for me to begin my day. Upon returning from working in the city, it is a joy to come home to the serenity of Arverne by the Sea. As Donald trump mentioned in his Real Estate Expo Seminar "this is one investment you can’t miss."

Being one of the first owners at Arverne by the Sea was a no brainer for me! To own a piece of real estate close to NYC and to have the Atlantic Ocean in my backyard was a dream come true. Living here I have found a great community and many new friends. I enjoy coming home from work and taking a bike ride on the boardwalk, surf fishing, walk along the beach taking in a great sunset, taking a dip in the ocean or just sitting back and listen to the sound of ocean meet this salty piece of land Arverne by the Sea, priceless!
